Compassionate Inquiry®
Recognise the unconscious dynamics that run your life and how to liberate yourself from them. Compassionate inquiry gives us an opportunity to deeply drop beneath the surface of our everyday triggers and reactions in our everyday lives, to meet the young parts of us that are reacting to our challenges.
What is Compassionate Inquiry?
Compassionate inquiry is a psychotherapeutic method developed by Gabor Maté.
Compassionate inquiry gives us an opportunity to deeply drop beneath the surface of our everyday triggers and reactions in our everyday lives, to meet the young parts of us that are reacting to our challenges.
This is a powerful process, an empowering process, it gives us an opportunity to meet ourselves with love and compassion enabling us to meet our challenges with response-ability and less reactivity.
What happens during a Compassionate Inquiry Session?
A compassionate Inquiry Session is a safe space to explore things that have triggered or upset us in our everyday lives.
When you come for a session you bring with you an intention to work with, a triggering experience or upset or even a physical tension in response to some stress. We then take time to sit with the somatic sensations, emotions, feelings and beliefs that are involved in the experience. This enables you to feel into the roots of your reactions and to build a new relationship with the parts of you that are having a difficult time. It is a very relieving and empowering process.
The therapist facilitates the process with reverence, care and respect and most importantly without judgment, this allows for us to come to a deep experience of love and compassion within ourselves.
